1st - the giraffe wall hanging giveaway. I had 26 names in the shuffle. Several names were entered more than once because they tweeted, digged, facebooked, additionally to following my blog. I felt so good to see who won, and I felt so bad at the same time to realize who didn't win! But we all know that this kind of thing is anyone's guess. Oh...I bet you want to know who the winner of the giveaway is?
****************JENNIFER MILLER*****************so, Jennifer, please message me in facebook or email me through the email link to the right with your mailing address!
I will be having more giveaways, mainly because I produce so many one of a kind works that don't fit in any of my life's categories, so check in once in a while.
On to other really great news:The small art quilt portrait I made of JJ, my pet, has won 2nd place in an art exhibit at the East End Studio and Art Gallery in Marshall MI. !!
I received an email this morning notifying me of the winners and I can't tell you how exciting and confirming it is to find that my work has won in a real live art exhibit! The email from East End said:
The judging of entries was based on the message or emotion the piece portrayed
(this was the most important criteria), and also the craftsmanship (SO MANY were
off the charts on this one!) and creativity/originality and the "Wow!" factor.
The jurors entered a numerical value from 0-9 for each of four categories for
each entry, then the numbers were added together to determine the
winners.
