Life, family, and travel

a little while back...

A little while back, we began to reacquaint ourselves with family members in many parts of the country.  What blessings and value we have missed over the years because we've let ourselves be too busy to go out of our way to spend time with our relatives, and friends!  Fortunately, it's never too late to start. Do you remember back a few posts to our visit with Robert, and later, his sister June?  They are Uncle and Aunt to Chuck on his father's side. Well, guess what?  There's another Aunt, Mae, who lives in AZ and had 5 children, Chuck's 1st cousins.  Just a few months ago we lost one of those cousins to cancer, and attended his funeral "up north".  Here are a few pictures from our motel lobby where we spent a wonderful couple of hours with our family.

Sticks walking

Chuck has done a wonderful job, over the years, making walking sticks for us, and for friends.  He will argue with you if you try and call him an artist, but that's what he is!
